Spring Picnic with Blessing of the Animals

We are excited to be hosting a spring picnic this Saturday 28 September 2024 between 1 - 3pm.

Enjoy the lawns and floriade flowers, games and activities for kids (bubbles and light crafts), and some pretty amazing scones and slices. Tea, Coffee and Cold drinks will also be available. All of this is available as a gift to the community.

At 2:30 we will gather for a short service for the blessing the animals. You can bring your pets (suitably leashed and/or contained) or a photo or toy to represent them. The blessing of the animals is an opportunity to reorient our love for our pets, an opportunity to celebrate them as they are and not what we project onto them, not what they do for us but what our responsibility is to them. St Francis first blessed the animals way back in the Thirteenth Century!
